We spent last weekend at Pipestem State Park in WV.

Someone made a new friend, while we were there.

The drive was long, and the kids didn't travel too well.

And our room was tiny and none of us got much sleep.

But the park was beautiful, the weather glorious and we enjoyed seeing some 

family members there that we haven't seen in a while.

we were blessed with perfect weather last weekend, and decided to pack a little picnic dinner to take to antietam battlefield in MD. it was an awesome evening.

we hope there are more fun picnics in store this summer!

evenings at the park

since coming home from nc, i have had the worst time motivating myself to get on the treadmill. just seems too boring. so we've been going on long walks at a nearby park in the evenings. last night we did 2 miles at a brisk pace! (yay us!)

 it feels so good to be outside, looking at pretty scenery instead of being cooped up inside staring at my living room wall. i think the fresh air does us all good.
